PETRONAS, Accenture and Amazon Web Services launch STEAR at ADIPEC

PETRONAS, Accenture and Amazon Web Services (AWS) are collaborating to assess global commercialization opportunities for the cloud-based logistics solution and services platform, STAR. The arrangement was formalized on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) 2022.

Developed by PETRONAS in partnership with Accenture in 2021, STEAR is designed to optimize logistics operations and costs for offshore vessels using key technologies such as fuel management, intelligent routing and vessel planning with voyage tracking and monitoring. in near real time. AWS joins the team to help scale and commercialize STEAR, which plays a key role in supporting offshore exploration, production and development, while helping logistics operations reduce carbon emissions.

By leveraging AWS’s differentiated artificial intelligence, machine learning, and Internet of Things offerings, STEAR promises to bring about a sea change in the efficiency, sustainability, and profitability of both PETRONAS and the wider logistics industry, delivering immediate value to customers, partners and the environment.
