From November 1 to 4, SDH participated in one of the biggest conferences in the world – Web Summit. This year our company was represented by Pavlo Yablonskiy, CTO, Vasyl Kuchma, Managing Partner, Alla Kovshova, Marketing Director and Marina Fomenko, Head Project Manager.
Our team traveled there to immerse themselves in the innovative tech industry, network and be inspired. With over 71,000 participants from 160 countries, the event was filled with many opportunities. Everyone could choose between listening to presentation sessions from successful and experienced business leaders or engaging in different conversations that could take place anywhere. No limits – complete freedom of cooperation.
Pavlo Yablonskiy, Vasyl Kuchma, Alla Kovshova and Marina Fomenko had many different meetings during these days. The flow of information was quite incredible. So many startups and our colleagues couldn’t help but have a strong drive to learn as much as possible about great game changers, solution makers, and just interesting like-minded people.
During the event, they focused on improving their knowledge with useful information on education, health, SaaS and AI. Not to mention their interest in sustainable development trends, equality and diversity issues. For this reason, several presentations were followed.
women in technology
In addition, Alla Kovshova and Marina Fomenko had the opportunity to meet their colleagues – women who work in IT at the event “How to get more women in C-suite roles in technology” organized by Scaleway, 50inTech and Women4Cyber Portugal. It was a really enjoyable experience where they were able to build new relationships, discuss challenges and career goals.
It should be noted that on November 4, our representatives participated in the Healthcare Forum. They listened to experts talk about post-Covid challenges and perspectives on the ground.
However, the Web Summit is not just about networking directly on site. There were various additional events, such as luncheons, parties, networking meetings, etc., where fantastic connections could be made. Pavlo Yablonskiy, Vasyl Kuchma and the girls saw for themselves.
Web Summit is not about being serious and focused on work. It’s more like a place where you get really open-minded. There you learn and share, speak and listen, watch and demonstrate. You feel completely surrounded by dozens of new ideas that have great potential to improve our lives. It was our first time at the event, but we will definitely be back next year.
We would like to thank everyone for showing their support for Ukraine. We believe technology will accelerate our victory.
